About RatataLabs

RatataLabs is an independent software lab building browser-first games and practical web tools. The current flagship is Plokk, a strategic block puzzle with daily challenges, player guides, and quick browser access.

The studio focuses on small products that have a clear job: open a URL, understand the promise, and do something useful within seconds. RatataLabs uses Codex-assisted development for planning, coding, testing, and content polish, but the goal is practical software rather than novelty for novelty's sake.

Every RatataLabs product should have visible ownership, useful supporting pages, privacy-aware defaults, and enough original explanation for a visitor to decide whether the tool is worth trying. The public site exists to make those products easier to discover, understand, and trust.

How RatataLabs builds in 2026

Development has moved from Claude-led sessions to Codex-led sessions for the main RatataLabs workflow. The change is practical: Codex is now used to inspect the codebase, write focused patches, run local tests, check the rendered pages, and prepare deployable changes in one loop.

That does not make the products automatic. Each shipped page still needs original content, working navigation, clear legal information, and a human decision about what belongs on the public site. The lab uses AI assistance as a faster workshop, not as a substitute for ownership.

What visitors should expect

RatataLabs pages are written to be useful before someone clicks into an app. A visitor should be able to learn what the product does, who it is for, what data or accounts may be involved, and where to find help. Plokk gets extra attention because it is the featured game and the strongest fit for recurring public content.
